This example of the chart by Teixeira/Thevenot is from the rare, posthumous 1696 augmented reissue of Thévenot's 'Relations de divers Voyages. Several of the foldout maps have genealogies in Arabic on the recto.’ The map seems unaltered, but the recto has a genealogy map in Arabic. There is no record of a prior sale of this edition of the chart. The rare (final) edition of the Relations was arguably the best & most complete.
The lot includes three pages of coastal profiles that accompanied the chart.

The chart is uncoloured as issued; it has been carelessly excised with loss of plate lines and a small part of each inset.
